Want to Know About TOR Browser? #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

Want to Know About TOR Browser? #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

Tor is free software for enabling anonymous communication. The name is derived from an acronym for the original software project name "The Onion Router". Tor directs Internet traffic through a free, worldwide, volunteer network consisting of more than seven thousand relays to conceal a user's location and usage from anyone conducting network surveillance or traffic analysis. Using Tor makes it more difficult for Internet activity to be traced back to the user: this includes "visits to Web sites, online posts, instant messages, and other communication forms". Tor's use is intended to protect the personal privacy of users, as well as their freedom and ability to conduct confidential communication by keeping their Internet activities from being monitored.

Onion routing is implemented by encryption in the application layer of a communication protocol stack, nested like the layers of an onion. Tor encrypts the data, including the destination IP address, multiple times and sends it through a virtual circuit comprising successive, randomly selected Tor relays. Each relay decrypts a layer of encryption to reveal only the next relay in the circuit in order to pass the remaining encrypted data on to it. The final relay decrypts the innermost layer of encryption and sends the original data to its destination without revealing, or even knowing, the source IP address. Because the routing of the communication is partly concealed at every hop in the Tor circuit, this method eliminates any single point at which the communicating peers can be determined through network surveillance that relies upon knowing its source and destination.

An adversary might try to de-anonymize the user by some means. One way this may be achieved is by exploiting vulnerable software on the user's computer. The NSA has a technique that targets a vulnerability - which they codenamed "EgotisticalGiraffe" - in an outdated Firefox browser version at one time bundled with the Tor package, and in general, targets Tor users for close monitoring under its XKeyscore program. Attacks against Tor are an active area of academic research, which is welcomed by the Tor Project itself.

The Tor Project, Inc is a Massachusetts-based 501(c) research-education nonprofit organization founded by computer scientists Roger Dingledine, Nick Mathewson and five others. The Tor Project is primarily responsible for maintaining software for the Tor anonymity network.

The Tor Project was founded by computer scientists Roger Dingledine, Nick Mathewson and five others in December 2006. The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) acted as The Tor Project's fiscal sponsor in its early years, and early financial supporters of The Tor Project included the U.S. International Broadcasting Bureau, Internews, Human Rights Watch, the University of Cambridge, Google, and Netherlands-based Stichting.net.

As of 2012, 80% of The Tor Project's $2 million annual budget came from the United States government, with the U.S. State Department, the Broadcasting Board of Governors, and the National Science Foundation as major contributors, "to aid democracy advocates in authoritarian states". The Swedish government and other organizations provided the other 20%, including NGOs and thousands of individual sponsors. Dingledine said that the United States Department of Defense funds are more similar to a research grant than a procurement contract. Tor executive director Andrew Lewman said that even though it accepts funds from the U.S. federal government, the Tor service did not collaborate with the NSA to reveal identities of users.

In October 2014 The Tor Project hired the public relations firm Thomson Communications in order to improve its public image (particularly regarding the terms "Dark Net" and "hidden services," which are widely viewed as being problematic) and to educate journalists about the technical aspects of Tor.

In May 2015, The Tor Project ended the Tor Cloud Service.

In December 2015, The Tor Project announced that it had hired Shari Steele, former executive director of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, as its new executive director. Roger Dingledine, who had been acting as interim executive director since May 2015, remained at The Tor Project as a director and board member. Later that month, The Tor Project announced that the Open Technology Fund will be sponsoring a bug bounty program that will be coordinated by HackerOne. The program will initially be invite-only and will focus on finding vulnerabilities that are specific to The Tor Project's applications.

On May 25, 2016 core developer and the public face of the Tor Project, Jacob Appelbaum, stepped down from his position; this was announced on June 2 in a two-line statement by Tor. Over the following days, allegations of sexual mistreatment were made public by several people. On June 4, Shari Steele, the Executive Director of the Tor project, published a statement saying that the recent allegations of sexual mistreatment regarding Appelbaum were consistent with "rumors some of us had been hearing for some time," but she asserted that "...the most recent allegations are much more serious and concrete than anything we had heard previously." Appelbaum has denounced the allegations as part of a concerted strategy to damage his reputation.

In March 2011, The Tor Project received the Free Software Foundation's 2010 Award for Projects of Social Benefit. The citation read, "Using free software, Tor has enabled roughly 36 million people around the world to experience freedom of access and expression on the Internet while keeping them in control of their privacy and anonymity. Its network has proved pivotal in dissident movements in both Iran and more recently Egypt."

Apply Attraction Marketing Into Your Social Media Marketing And Watch How Your Online Business Grows #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

Apply Attraction Marketing Into Your Social Media Marketing And Watch How Your Online Business Grows #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

If you have an online business or any internet network marketing business, and you are using any social media marketing platforms, you have the power to tap millions of customers globally for only a tiny investment and create infinite returns. Any small business owner or network marketer who is not leveraging the power of the internet or social media marketing is leaving thousands of dollars on the table. Unfortunately lot of network marketers are using social media the wrong way to the point of pushing away their prospects and even their own friends. You don't have to go through this process of making cold calls or pitching your product to people you don't know and get spammed before you knew it.

But How Can You Really Make Social Media Marketing Work for Your Online Business?

A very effective and professional approach to leverage social media marketing for any internet or network marketing business is through applying the principles of attraction marketing. Attraction marketing is about establishing yourself as a leader in your industry then using this to entice people to join your business. It is a very effective strategy that does not involve making cold calls or untargeted sales pitches that are the traditional methods in network marketing.

Some Bits of Information That can Help You Understand How to Apply the Principles of Attraction Marketing into Your Social Media Marketing

1. It takes time for you to establish yourself as a leader in your niche. This is the very first thing you should know about attraction marketing even in social media marketing because you cannot attract any leads if you don't make yourself into a leader first. So how long will it take you to become a leader? It depends on a lot of factors. First, how good are you in marketing yourself out there? Second, do you have any previous experience in network marketing or social media marketing? Third, do you personally know other leaders out there whom you can use for your advantage? And fourth, do you know who your target market is? If your answer to these questions are all positive, then it's going to be a lot quicker for you to become a leader in your chosen field.

2. Attraction marketing is about providing lots and lots of good content (often for free). In any industry, you have to regularly create good content to make yourself stand and rise among the others. You can apply this in whatever social media marketing platform you are using such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google +, Blogs, etc. Just give your followers food content, day in and day out, and sooner or later you will become the go-to guy on your niche.

3. Attraction marketing is leading with value. It is about nurturing those who look up to you. It's about keeping the communication lines open, answering their questions, providing them with tools and resources, and providing them advice and solutions to their problems. This is network marketing so their success is also your success. What's really beneficial about this concept is that the better you are in nurturing your network, the more warm leads you receive through referrals made by your own followers.

If you are able to fully and effectively utilize all these social media marketing strategies, it won't be long before you will be perceived as a leader. Be reminded however that becoming a leader won't happen overnight. It will take some time before people will start noticing you. Once their eyes are upon you, what you need to do is nurture their attention by giving them what they want or need in the form of free content like articles, ebooks, training materials, software, etc. See to it that the content you provide are always of the best quality. As was stated earlier, with attraction marketing, you are not going to send pitches to people you don't know.

Instead, these people will be going over to you and asking you details on how they can join your business. The concept is really simple. In searching for business opportunities, people are attracted towards people who are treated as leaders in their chosen niches. So this is exactly what you should do. Make yourself a leader and the people will start approaching you. If you keep on doing this, that's when people will start recognizing you as a leader. The power of social media marketing and attraction marketing put together will really bring your business to the next level and long term huge success.

The "Ins and Outs" Of DAP And PDAF #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

Criticisms plagued Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) and Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of Pnoy Administration which were used as funding system to prioritize country’s developments. It’s employed for Local Governance prioritized-projects that really need funding to hasten the vital developments of each province in the Philippines. The fund’s released to accelerate the important aspects of local projects submitted by leaders.

Opposition leaders interpreted DAP and PDAF were unconstitutional based on the Philippine Constitution which needed rigid consultation from the Senate. The Supreme Court ruling on the DAP was one of the most difficult challenges for the President in 2014. This also brought on the President’s lowest performance and trust ratings. The High Tribunal’s decision declaring the DAP unconstitutional can also be blamed for the uncertainty in government spending, which slowed down the country’s economic growth. The Supreme Court was bound to uphold its earlier decision and junk the motion for reconsideration filed by the Office of the Solicitor General. The voting on the matter, however, was deferred until the resumption of en banc sessions in January 2015.

Moreover, it has been employed by Pnoy Governance with clarity on purpose, implementation and monitoring. Other government sectors couldn’t enliven their increasing demand for development that needed funding. The resources for their projects were scrutinized by other political observers as unfair when it comes to funding. The Pnoy Administration’s continued to persuade the Filipino people that with this system, the Philippine economy’s constantly increasing due to the fact of its quick funding response.

The negative aspects of these two systems are contested by the opposition leaders, groups and individuals who thought that the present administration will have the ways and means to shuffle the funds without the knowledge of the Senate.

So, this coming January 2015, the continuation of the en banc sessions could clarify the funding to its proper form, substance and essence.

Also, President Aquino has also signed the P22-billion supplemental budget for 2014, which critics claimed to have also been infested with funds from the DAP and the PDAF. The President said the supplemental budget will cover projects that had no more funding due to adverse SC rulings against the PDAF. “When we fell in line with the call of the people to remove the PDAF from our budget, we have removed the whole that abuses the system. Together with it, there are projects delayed, services cut, and liabilities unpaid,” Aquino said.

It was not the initiative of President Aquino that removed the PDAF, however, since it took an SC decision that branded it unconstitutional that led to the removal of the legislative pork barrel. In fact he contested the SC decision saying that PDAF is not itself bad but only the abuse of its use. “Of course, we cannot let our countrymen suffer that we have already given attention to,” he added.

The supplemental budget also contained P10 billion for rehabilitation efforts in areas devastated last year by typhoon Yolanda. Other projects that need immediate funding were being allocated to complete its course.

Despite the challenges facing the administration in its last years in power, the Palace official was optimistic that President Aquino will deliver in 2015 on the promises he made during the campaign and his last four years in office.

Let’s wait and see on how Pnoy Administration will handle the Philippines for the year 2015 onwards.

The Whys And Hows of Guest Blog Posting #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

You’ve probably heard of guest blogging before, but just in case, let me give a quick description of what it is. A guest blog post is when someone other than the owner of a blog writes content, and the owner of the blog posts this content while giving credit to the original author, sometimes just by name and sometimes with a link to the content writer’s website. This is good.

Why Are Guest Blog Posts Good?

But why is guest posting good? First, let’s look at it from the perspective of the blog owner. They don’t have to spend nearly as much time to publish content when they don’t have to write it themselves. Furthermore, they still have control over the content. They can always choose to reject what a guest blogger has written before it is posted. But more than just being convenient, it can also provide their audience with a fresh and interesting view on a topic, or even provide some expertise that the blog owner doesn’t have by themselves. Which means it’s good for the blog’s visitors, which inherently makes it good for the blog owner.

But what about the writer? Why should he or she spend time writing free content for someone else? In short, exposure, traffic, and rankings. Since this post is attributed to the original content writer, an entire audience that may never have heard of the content writer will suddenly know of him or her. This alone makes it a valuable marketing tool, but that’s not all there is to it. With a link in the post, it can also directly drive traffic to the content writer’s website! Anyone who owns a website knows that a website without traffic is worthless, and that traffic is undoubtedly valuable. This is a great, legitimate, and inexpensive way to get some extra traffic. But that’s not even the best part. The link does more than drive traffic. It gives you a vote for Google searches. These are some of the most valuable links you can get for increasing your rankings in Google due to the unique content and the limited number of in-content links. Plus, they tend to be permanent, so each one will continue to help for an extended period of time.

Is This Better Than Other Forms of Link Building?

Short answer: yes. Google is able to tell if a link is part of a navigation sidebar or footer, and these links are discounted, though the sheer number of them can still sometimes make them quite valuable. Links in the form of ads can be powerful, but you either continue paying for them or they disappear. Links in a guest blog post are permanent, generally free outside of the time spent to get them, and in context so they are not discounted like footer or sidebar links are.

How Do You Actually Get a Guest Blog Post?

So, I’ve established that they are important, but how do you get them?

This will take some finesse, some practice, and lots of rejections. You will need to send requests to blog owners that include your idea for a guest blog post. These requests should compliment something specific on their site, and should include links to samples of your writing. Of course, the request itself should be well written and free of any spelling or grammatical errors. However, even when these requests are well written with good ideas, the blog owner will often refuse the offer. You’ll have to have a thick skin for this, as you’ll likely get more rejections or no responses than you’ll get accepted blog posts. Fear not, however, as there are some ways to increase your success rate.

Here is a rough step-by-step guideline for how to do this:

1. Find a blog that is more likely to accept a guest blog post offer.
2. Make sure this blog fits your niche.
3. Write your request well, and provide examples of your writing in your request.
4. Write the post using a targeted keyword.
5.Link to your own site sparingly and respectfully, but try to get a targeted keyword for your anchor text.

If you approach blog owners that are explicitly looking for a guest blogger to post on their site, your success rate will go up dramatically. There are a few ways to do this. The first, and most tedious, way is to go to lots of different blogs and look for some sort of submission page. Though they are in the minority, there are many bloggers who openly advertise on their site for guest bloggers. Some of them are pickier than others about the quality, quantity, and topic of the content than others, so you’ll likely still get rejections even from these bloggers, but at least you know up front that they want somebody, even if it might not be you, to do a guest blog post for them. However, this requires going to lots of different blogs and hoping you can find such an advertisement or submission page, which will likely be called different things and be in completely different locations depending on the website. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was some place to aggregate blog owners who are looking for guest blog posts, so that people who want to submit guest blog posts can?

Well, there are a couple of places like that. They tend to be forums, though, so there is no special software or setup required for using it. Only the usual forum registration. One such website is called My Blog Guest. There is a subforum there for blog owners looking for guest bloggers, so you can go there to find people who are much more likely to accept your request, as long as the website they have fits the niche you are going for. What’s really nice, though, is that there’s a separate subforum for people who want to write a guest blog post. You can make a post there and, as long as your post is well written and accurately describes the niche or genre that you would like to write about, you can just wait for the blog owners to come to you! Of course, this is likely to take longer than if you send the requests to the owners yourself, but if you do both, you can really maximize the number of successful posts you get. There are also other less-specialized forums out there that you can use for the same thing, like the Warrior Forums, but people there are looking to buy, sell, or trade links. They are more likely to accept a guest blog post than a random blog, but that’s not necessarily what they are after.

Another way to find others who want guest blog posts is to join some sort of mailing list. Blogger Link Up is one such mailing list. To join the mailing list, you just fill out the form shown above on their site. When you do, you’re guest blogging offer will be sent to everybody who has signed up for the mailing list in the past. You most likely won’t get a huge response each time you send out an offer, but you’ll likely get one or two for each offer you send out, and it’s a great way to connect with others who want exactly what you have to offer. There is yet another shortcut for getting guest blog posts as well, and that is joining a group in a known service that specializes in blogging.

One such group is found on LinkedIn, and it’s called The Blog Zone. After joining this group, you can communicate with a couple thousand bloggers out there, many of whom would love to have access to a few guest blog posts. Many of them even joined this group for the purpose of obtaining guest blog posts. As a result, you’ll be able to find a lot of opportunities here the old fashioned way, by talking to people. One note, though, there is a special subgroup here that can prove especially useful: The Guest Blogger. It is even more focused on exactly what you want to do, which is exactly that: to be a guest blogger.

Other Methods For Obtaining Guest Blog Posts

So, you’ve exhausted My Blog Guest, Blogger Link Up, The Blog Zone, and you can’t find any more blogs with “submit” pages, but you want to do more. What do you do? Well, you go to any blog that looks like it would be a good place to get a link from, and use a service like Who Is to find an administrative contact. Who Is will take a domain name and look at the publicly available registered information about that website, and will almost, but not quite, always have an email address or sometimes even a phone number that you can use to contact the owner. Now, keep in mind that these people are likely not actively looking for a guest blogger, and some of them don’t even know that their contact information can be found this way, so you’ll get a lot of rejections this way. However, sometimes the best sites simply don’t have another way to contact them, and blog owners will occasionally accept a guest blog post from such an email, so it’s worth looking into.

The Request Template

The request should be moderately formal. It should compliment something specific on the owner’s website so that they know you are a real person who actually took the time to look at their website. Then, you should politely ask for a guest blog post, clearly state your intentions (number of links, where the links will point to, anchor text, etc.), present a few ideas for the topic, say why you think it would be good for their website, and provide some examples of your own writing so they can see for themselves if you are good at it or not. In fact, here’s a decent template to go by. Just replace everything with {} around it with the correct information. Keep in mind that you might want to modify it a little bit to your own personal tastes.

Hi {website owner’s name},

My name is {your name}, I write articles for the site {your website}. I really liked your website, {website owner’s website}, especially the {specific thing you really liked about their blog}. In order to get exposure to new audience; I’m interested in writing a guest article on your blog. I’m sure that your audience would like my writing, as I will write a post based on the theme of your blog. If you have any specific process for submitting articles, please let me know I’m happy to follow that as well.

As for the topic, I’m planning to write a post about {your suggested topic} that keeps your readers in mind. I’m also open to writing about any other related topic, if that is what you would like. If you’re interested I’d appreciate you getting back to me. I can send you a draft between {lowest number of words} and {highest number of words} for you to consider for publication. All I’d ask in exchange is a link in the {location you prefer} with the anchor text {your target keyword} to the URL {your URL}.

Below are a couple of samples of recent feature articles I’ve written:

{a couple URLs pointing to your articles, preferably on the same topic}

Thank you for your time, please feel free to get back to me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

{your name}

But What About the Guest Blog Post Itself?

There is one catch, though. You shouldn’t go for every possible guest blog post out there. There are a few things you should worry about as far as content of the post as well as the other content on the website that will be hosting your guest blog post. Why is that, you might ask? Well, when Google finds a link to your website, there are a few things they look at.

1. The anchor text on the link itself
2. The content directly around the link (the guest blog post itself)
3. Relevance of the post’s title tags, copy and other SEO elements to your anchor text
4. Number of outbound links on the page competing with your link
5. What the linking website, as a whole, is about

Google uses these things to determine what your website is about according to those who link to you. If Google thinks that your site is about something other than the content that is actually on your site, it can hurt your Google rankings for your keywords instead of help them. Since you’re doing the writing, you directly control number 1 and number 2 as long as you can keep the writing good enough to please the blog owner. As a result, you should make sure that your post targets a keyword that you are trying to rank for, just like a post that actually goes on your own website. This way, Google is more likely to get the right message from this particular link. And, of course, the anchor text of the link should be a keyword you are trying to rank for as well. This can sometimes be a problem, but we’ll get to that a little bit later.

Number 5 can only be controlled by actively seeking blogs that fit your niche, and denying opportunities from blogs that don’t. If a site that is clearly about furniture in Google’s eyes talks about furniture and links to another site with the keyword furniture, Google is sure to think that the linked-to site is about furniture. If it is indeed about furniture, this is a good thing, and the link will prove to be valuable. So, be sure to get guest blog post links from a blog that has the same (or at least a very similar) niche as your own website.

Problems and Hurdles For Potential Guest Bloggers

Sometimes creative differences between the guest blog writer and the website owner will occur. Many website owners don’t like to link to an author’s website with anything other than the name of the author’s website. Many feel that anything else is unprofessional. You may need to provide a specific example as to how it can be done while keeping it looking professional. If this can’t be done, you may have to give up and accept a less than ideal link. Don’t worry, the link will still be valuable, just not quite AS valuable.

Above all, never give up! Practice, work on better requests, show off better writing skills, and it will all pay off in the long run!

Let's Make Your Website More Panda Friendly #SocailMediaBusinessMarketing

The recent Google Panda update has raised the bar not only for SEO experts but also for web designers. It's getting tougher and tougher to rank well and that means that you really have to pay attention to all designing and Google ranking factors. When we do this, search engines rewards us because we are rewarding our audience and providing them with the information and experience they are looking for. The following points will help you to make your website panda proof:-

1.Content is key:The Panda algorithm update emphasizes providing assurance only on websites that contain unique and useful content. This will help users better find content relevant to their search. If you provide web page content that is unique, relevant, high quality and preferably 1000+ words, your site will likely be rewarded with improved rankings and therefore, increased traffic.

2.Above the fold design: Narrowing your header images, removing header banner images and pushing more content onto the top of your site will help with Panda.

3.Web Page indexing: A website with more than 100 web pages and maximum pages indexed by Google would be considered as a Panda friendly website.

4.Page rank: Page rank is still one of the most important factors. PageRank is an independent measure of Google's perception of the quality/authority/credibility of an individual web page. It does not depend on any particular search phrase. Google conveniently reports this as a number from 0-10 (10 being the best).

5.Check your Domain registration: Domain registration for five years helps to enhance authority points. This is a small tip, but every little bit helps.

6.Webmaster tools: It enables webmasters to get a better idea of what Google 'thinks' about their web sites, how the Google 'spider' sees them, and what improvements could be made.

7.Social media proof: Google Panda takes social media trends seriously and content that is loved by social media sites like Twitter and Facebook gets better position in search engines.

8.Optimize for Fast Load Times: Avoid flash, single background images in the website. Google tends to favor sites that are snappy, quick, and fast.

More Understanding Google Sitemaps

Google Sitemaps are XML files that list the URLs available on a site. The aim is to help site owners notify search engines about the URLs on a website that are available for indexing.

Webmasters can include information about each URL, such as when it was last updated and its importance in the context of the site.

A site map (or sitemap) is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

While some developers argue that site index is a more appropriately used term to relay page function, web visitors are used to seeing each term and generally associate both as one and the same. However, a site index is often used to mean an A-Z index that provides access to particular content, while a site map provides a general top-down view of the overall site contents.

XML is a document structure and encoding standard used, amongst many other things, as the standard for Web Crawler's to find and parse sitemaps. There is an example of an XML sitemap below (missing link to site). The instructions to the sitemap are given to the crawler bot by a Robots Text file, an example of this is also given below. Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found. This is especially important if a site uses a dynamic access to content such as Adobe Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links.

Google Sitemaps Benefits:

1. Alert Google to Changes and Additions to your Website Anytime You Want

2. Your Website is crawled more efficiently and effectively

3. Web Pages are categorized and prioritized exactly How You Want

4. Speed up the process of New Website and New Web Page Discovery

5. No Waiting and guessing to see when Spiders crawl your web pages

6. Google Sitemaps is likely to set the standard for Webpage Submission and Update

Notification which will extend the benefits to other Search Engines

7. The Google Sitemaps service is Free.

The New Google Algorithm Farmer- What SEO/SEM Professionals Need to Know #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

John Moorehead. Article City

The New Google Algorithm Farmer- What SEO/SEM Professionals Need to Know

It's official! While there has been talk of an upcoming algorithm change from Google for at least a couple of months, these past couple of weeks saw a definite change in the way that Google ranks those sites on the web vying for top placement in its listings. So what is the big news? This algorithm specifically went after content farms and in addition to a broad extent low quality sites that have been gaming the system for higher rankings. Since the algorithm targeted content farmers, this algorithm has been nicknamed The Farmer.

If you read our recent article: "Google Moving Against Content Farms- What Does This Mean for SEO?" You probably were already on the look-out for the coming algorithm change. Now that the algorithm has taken effect, the SEO/SEM community definitely knows a little bit more about it, however there are still a few things that require more research and information.

Who Was Targeted by the Farmer Algorithm?

This algorithm change which took effect since late February is said to have affected between 11% and 12% of the search queries in the United States. As of the moment, it is not sure when the algorithm will affect other regions in the world.

Some of the major website properties that were affected included article distribution sites, aggregated content sites (those sites that republish original content from others), sites that mostly sell products with little or no content associated with them, and in general sites that don't have unique or high quality content. Generally speaking, if a website's goal is to monetize content that is not original or high quality, then it is likely that the site has been targeted by Google.

Who Has Benefited from the Farmer Algorithm?

Generally speaking, those sites that have or will benefit from this algorithm will be sites that create unique, high quality content. Obviously, white hat SEO always included creating high quality, unique content as a prerequisite for obtaining long term quality results, this fact hasn't changed.

Tips for SEO/SEM to Avoid the Wrath of Farmer

If you noticed a sudden drop in the Search engine result pages or if you want to avoid a sudden drop in the future, here are some tips that should help you avoid the raft of the Farmer algorithm.

Make sure that the vast majority of content that you post on your website is unique and original. Obviously, you may have to post product descriptions or technical specs that come from a manufacturer, however when possible, create original and unique content in addition to this republished content.

Consider using the Original Source meta tag from Google: meta name="original-source" content=http://www.somedomain.com/article1.html More information at: http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/answer.py?answer=191283

This meta tag directly tells Google that the content you have on your site is original- this way if someone plagiarizes your content or duplicates it in anyway, Google will know the original source and you should get all the credit from Google.

Another good tool to checkout is at www.copyscape.com This tool will scan the net looking for duplicate content so that you can identify specific pages on your website that need to be re-written so they are 100% unique.

Be choosy with the type of articles that you distribute. It should be noted that while Google has targeted many article distribution sites, you will not be penalized for having your content on these sites- the more likely possibility will be these back links will have less power and thus be less effective- so there is no need to remove any of your content from these sites.

Be careful how you monetize your content. Obviously, those that heavily advertise on their site will receive extra scrutiny from Google. If you use content to lure traffic for monetization, definitely use unique content and do not rely solely on aggregated/republished content.

Obviously, the Farmer algorithm has only been out for a couple of weeks, so SEO/SEM professionals are still researching its broad effects. As always, we'll keep you updated as well if we find important information.

Let Sponsored Ads Do the Work For You #SocialMediaBusinessMarketing

Ming Gilstrap. It's easy to build your online business with sponsored ads. Get started today by checking out sponsored ads and those that can help put together your site. Go Articles

Let Sponsored Ads Do the Work For You

Maintaining a website can either be an arduous ongoing task, or you can build a site from the beginning that pretty much maintains itself. If you are providing a service or information, it can be frustrating to not see enough income coming your way. The answer is online advertising directly on your site. You can build your online business with sponsored ads easily and efficiently with a few quick steps. One of the perks is you do not have to be a genius online, and you do not even have to have your website up and running yet. Some tips here can help even those just beginning to get into online earnings right away. Setting up your website and finding advertising are easy enough. Even easier, if you are starting from the ground up is to get your set up right from the beginning. Hire a service that has the know-how to do all of the work for you. Eventually the payoff will be well worth the investment.

How to Find Online Advertising

If you already have a website, you can contact online ad companies directly to post on your side bar. Every time you bring traffic to their corresponding site, you will be paid. This is how simple making money online can be. Even better, if you have sponsored articles that direct your customers to these ads, you will garner more traffic to these advertising sites and bring in more money on your end. These sponsored articles can be written by you, or better yet, have these written for you by a content advertising service.

Advertising that is Right for Your Site

If you already have a themed site, you can aim for advertising that fits this. This is a good idea because if people are already interested in your site and what they are reading, similar advertising will interest them. If you do not have a site, the theme can be tailor made from the beginning. This will lay the groundwork to grab your customer's interest in certain topics, leading them to click on corresponding advertising. If you are not sure where to start, finding an ad broker or service that has contacts is a great way to start. There may be charges for this, but it is worth it to have the right types of ads on your site.

No Hassle Advertising Set up for You

If you are still struggling with what you could possibly have a website for, this is no problem. There are companies that can set up the entire site, content, and advertising for you. All you need to do is collect your earnings from advertising click-throughs. These services provide all aspects of a money generating site for a fee, and set up the site for your ownership. The upside of this type of situation is these groups have the expertise and the know-how to make attention grabbing sites, and already have contacts with online advertisers to get you the best deals on payment.
